Hey, stop looking at me like that....
Saturday, August 28, 2004I'm making fun of muyself over last week's post. I'm goofy...at least I'm getting published with a wonderful publisher. And I have a feeling that everyone has a long wait. I get down because sometimes I feel like all my roads are blocked off, one by one. And because I want to get started, never accepting that I already have. This has not exactly been a wonderful summer, in many ways...I've been sick, which is weird, because even though I b**** and complain, I'm usually a pretty healthy sprite, but I've had all sorts of odd drag me to the doctor things. (And trust me, you have to drag me...I'm one of those people who will be flipping through her herb book for cures if her toes have started falling off.) Has anyone else had a hard as heck time getting anything done this season? To my "Cooler than heck male book charcaters" list, I've just added Drizzt Do'Urden. This week has been much taken up, reading wise, by three R.A. Salvatore books that the SfSite sent me. Wizards of the Coast has been re-releasing the various Drizzit books in hardcover...the books are really lovely. I'm lucky girl, because I got started with one...if I'm really lucky, I'll manage to review all 13. other cool charcaters? Pretty much any Barbara Hambly charcater, but most especailly Don Simon Ysidro (favorite vampire), Antryg Windrose, John Aversin and Morkeleb the Black. Dream of the Endless, by Neil Gaiman, Agent Pendegrast by Lincold Childs and Douglas Preston, and, last, but not least, Terry Pratchett's Sam Vimes.
